It's that time of the year fellas. We in for a struggle season but there are some positives to look out for.
Can Brook Lopez perform at a superstar level?
Will Rondae Hollis-Jefferson give us a 1st rookie team season?
Are we going to see Markel Brown, Bogdanovic, Thomas Robinson step their game up?
Is Shane Larkin good enough to take over as starting point guard?
I'm real interested in seeing how larkin, markel and RHJ pan out for us. Also wondering if Hollins can make Thad and Brook work similar to what he had in memphis.

I see no reason why Brook can't give us 20 and 10, if this team wants to do anything this year we need him to step up. That's first and foremost. We need Joe to give us consistent perimeter scoring. We need a few of the young guys to step up, Robinson, Brown, Larkin and Hollis-Jefferson. It looks bleak but anything is possible.

Need to get RHJ in the starting line up immediately. Joe Johnson has been absolutely terrible on defense, if he keeps strugging offensively too we might have to bring him off the bench.

Our early season schedule is so tough

Joe is gonna get traded mid season anyways -
Jack, Joe, young, Robinson, Lopez
My two cents -

Joe has mid season buy out written all over him. -
Hope he goes to the Knicks.

Please take Jack outta the starting lineup and put Larkin in
Smh 0-4, we should've won that game. Hollins blew it by taking Brook out late in the 4th.
Bojan has really stepped it up btw. I like his game -

Larkin is too small, he has heart and he played well but I don't expect this type of game from him consistently. I understood the logic in Hollins taking out Brook due to the foul situation, these types of games remind you that we are a bad team. -
Neither are true starting point guards, but the reason I like Larkin over Jack is he looks to faciliate a lot more than Jack does. Jack only knows one speed & i feel Larkin does a better job setting up Brook. There was a statistic floating around the previous game that showed all the people that took the same amount of shots or more than Jack were all stars of their team. Jack is not, and that's not OK.
Defense seems to be our biggest problem, and though Larkin is not a great defender he definitely hustles more than Jack does. It's also the reason why Johnson needs to come off the bench asap, he's getting too old and lethargic to defend the perimeter. I'd like to see Larkin / Ellington or Bog / RHJ / Young / Lopez.
Bog can ball but his defense is still really shaky and it's really the only thing holding him from starting the 2. -

Larkin is too small and he doesn't have the physical ability of a younger Jameer Nelson or Ty Lawson. Jack is a bit of a ballhog but he's the best option for now. I'm ready for them to trade or cut Joe he's done and I don't think coming off the bench will make a difference, we need him to give us perimeter scoring and capable outside shooting and he brings neither to the table. At this point I would start Bojan at the 2, with Hollis-Jefferson at the 3, Thad and Lopez in the front court, Jack at the 1. That might be our best lineup. -
0-6 face -
I didnt even know this thread existed. Man get the brown paper bags

All those short sighted moves are biting us in the ass now, I called this ? years ago smh, but it is what it is though.
-
Gonna be chillin and drinking in the area soon watching the game at Moe's Bar in Fort Greene. Mad ladies be in there. Wanna see how the Nets play against the Bucks
-
Man I'm just patiently waiting to see who they hire for GM and head coach.

Basically.
Man, nobody want this gig. This team is in the ? til 2019 -
We won 2 straight after dropping Joe Johnson. The NBA screwed us (not the first time) with this long ass road trip.
-
Sean Marks seems like a solid hire so far. Saying all the right things, but that only gets you so far. Step one out of many towards respectability.
-
Is there a way Kyrie can come to the Nets?
-
