How is it not a sucker punch? He didn't have his hands up ready to go. He was walking up to challenge Game and a third party attacked him. Regardless of what you think of the white boy and his stupidity, that was a cheapshot.
I don't know if Game is truly tough or not, but I do know letting someone else knock out a guy that is challenging you is not a way to prove you're tough.
