Officers had a brief standoff with a woman who circled a police department with a fake gun and pointed it at officers.
"What are you doing? Shoot me!" Elaine Rothenberg told the Torrington police. "Boom, boom, boom."
On Christmas Eve, Rothenberg, 66, was seen circling the perimeter of the Torrington police station. She pointed what appeared to be a gun at two civilians and asked if they were police officers. The civilians were able to get away unharmed.
Rothenberg then stood in front of an employee only entrance way and stood with the handgun raised in a shooting stance. After pointing it at officers she threw the gun and was taken into custody.

Police quickly discovered the gun was a BB gun which Rothenberg purchased that day.
Rothenburg was charged with first degree threatening, reckless endangerment, and interfering with police. She is being held in custody. It is not clear if she has an attorney.

I know this was meant to be funny but it's so etherous. Cops spend weeks trying to justify shooting of unarmed people and covering up cops murder of people when they claim to be in fear of their lives. But let a real incident with a Caucasian take place when they should be in fear of their life and the bulls hit rhetoric stops smh -

Well....there's an opposite approach. It's not whether the cop is good or bad....its whether the criminals are good or bad.
Good criminals don't get shot. Bad criminals get shot.
Black cops historically have been shooting and killing the bad criminals, but don't ? the good criminals. At least there's no outcry from the good criminals community about excessive force and shooting deaths by black cops dole out to unarmed or even armed good criminals.
White cops occasionally shoot some of the good criminals but are always in fear of the bad criminals so they shoot to ? . -
