Porn stars aren’t just feeling “the Bern” the way one might suspect. Adult film stars at the AVN Adult Film Entertainment Expo and Awards in Las Vegas pledged their support for the socialist senator.
Reason reported on Monday that a plethora of porn stars said they intend to support Sanders in the 2016 election.
AVN Senior Editor Mark Kerns was seen walking around with a “Totes for Bernie” tote-bag, and new porn star Karla Kush told the Daily Beast that he wasn’t alone.
“I’m voting for Bernie; I don’t want a corporate candidate,” Kush said to The Daily Beast because he has a revolutionary stance and is not in bed with the big banks like Hillary Clinton. “Women distrust her,” she continued. “Bernie is generally about equality in how he sees ? marriage, or cannabis reform, or civil rights. … I believe he supports my independence as a woman and as a professional.”
Fellow adult film performer Jojo Kiss said, “Bernie is like my daddy.” Fellow porn actresses, Gwen Stark and Kat Dior said they want the Vermont Senator because they do not trust Clinton. Dani Daniels who threatened to leave the country if Trump wins said that she only likes Sanders and wouldn’t vote for anyone else.
Not all porn stars said they’re left-wingers. Evan Stone and Evil Angel founder John Stagliano said they plan on voting libertarian in 2016, and performers ? Chibbles and James Bartholet said they will vote for Trump. Ironically they both played him in porn parodies.
