Ya'll know those trailers that leave you like "First day, I'm in there."
...and when you finally see the movie, and it sucked ass. Here are some GREAT/AMAZING/CAPTIVATING trailers for movies that clearly didn't live up to what was shown in the previews.
Just looking at those tv spots makes me want to see the movie. Talk about pump-fake
If someone hasn't seen/heard about this movie, and saw this trailer...they would've thought this was an oscar-potential movie. I like GRODT, but the trailer makes the movie way better than what it was.
I love Cloverfield, but this movie is one of the most polarizing films in the last 10 years. You either love it or you hate it...but we can all agree the teaser trailer raised hype through the ROOF!
And quite possibly the greatest trailer of a mediocre film...

Jayden was being chased by way more animals in the After Earth trailer...

You can add signs, after earth, the happening, and the visit... it really is on sight for dude. -

Prometheus is dope when you incorporate Wikipedia and a lot of behind the scenes knowledge. What appeared on screen was ass. Same problem with Cloverfield.
Anyway, thread starter nailed damn near every one on my list: Cloverfield is the biggest ? up, though. That trailer had everyone in the theater like, "Yoooooooooo!" I remember I was so anxious to see it that I found a ? bootleg ahead of release and got it. Picture was awesome and everything. Watched the movie with my sister and we were like....
Perfect gif. Add the X-Men movies, too. -

watched it twice ? is one of my fav sci fi movies and never needed wiki

Saw this on DVD and demanded my money back.
One of the only movies where all you needed to is the trailer. That's it. Nothing else. So glad I didn't spend money on this.

The reaction of everyone in the movie theater I was in was priceless. If that muthafucca had walked in the movie theater, they would burned his azzz on a stake. -
