Sounds unnecessary and something that younger kids would do for validation, a sense of security perhaps.
I especially don't need or care for a piece of jewelry of all things to solidify a promise of commitment. How about we are together as a unit, we have built something solid and have the necessary factors such as trust and communication to know that what we have is for real and anything that can be bought cannot justify that or make it more believable.
But hey, to each their own. Those are just my sentiments. I also am not a fan of jewels so....... -
