https://deadspin.com/report-nfl-floated-plan-for-all-players-to-wear-team-1819036743Report: NFL Floated Plan For All Players to Wear “Team America” Patches
But the funniest fact in the story comes about one response the NFL had floated:
There was a general, if fanciful, consensus that even a short-term financial hit could benefit the league in the long term, especially if the league and the union could join in solidarity behind a single plan. That’s how the league’s marketing department was planning to proceed, even if some of the rough ideas fell flat. One idea had all players wearing a patch on their jerseys that would read, “Team America.” An owner briefed on the proposal simply shook his head: “We need to do better than that.”
Team America! For those of us who love humorous ? -ups, it is incredibly disappointing the NFL did not go that route. -

But not having a decent backup QB killed the Raiders last year and Kaep is beloved in the Bay Area, if he is was gonna get a chance anywhere Oakland would be perfect.
Bruh........... wow. -

I'll say it again. Stand or don't it doesn't matter. They already won because the actual problem being protested isn't even being talked about anymore. At this point it's become a Freedom of Speech struggle and thatshouldn't be anyone's priority. -

What's even more tragic is they expect athletes with wealth to not only distance themselves from you know the other kinds blacks "? " but their own families. These men\women have cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles etc who do not enjoy the lifestyles they do. These men\women have to return their neighborhoods and look their family in the eyes. white america is the worse. They're always preaching ancestors and tradition but totally neglect and disrespect that blacks as well as other races have their own culture, tradition, history and ancestors to honor. -

I'll agree to disagree. While it appears some of these brothers\sisters are ? up. I think it's a little more complicated these days. Some of the these brothers are relied upon heavily so, messing up their earning affects more than just them. -

Still cowardice back then it was a lot more to lose... i just think alot of cats are disconnected and are willingly agreeable -
Brees' grandfather is also a WW2 vet, and i believe is still living iirc
so to ? 's point, he thought it was something about the troops, but there are no longer any black players on the team to hold him accountable b/c i think he's the oldest person on the team
I bet Vilma would've checked him -
Next week we will see mass protest on gun violence call for unity.. it will be an nfl spectacle.... bet money.. smh

A plane flew over M&T Stadium before the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday afternoon and displayed a banner that read "Stand and Respect Our Flag."
A man from Essex, Maryland paid to have the message flown before the game, according to Kelly Andersen of FOX 45. -
The phrase our flag is racist in itself.
