Too bad he don't want to
-
He already said he's done, no matter how much they offer him. He's tired of doing them...but money talks tho. So we'll see
-
They wanna avoid casting a Black Bond soooooo bad.
-

Shame this guy is not so well known mainstream he'd make an excellent bond.
-
Give it to Idris!

Give it to Idris!
He's not coming out and saying it but he wants/would play the role. -
White folks would loose they collective mine, there would be so many white tears.

he better give us two more bond movies one was a dud (quantum of solace) he is one of the best bond actors if not the best imo. also i'm sorry but I don't want to see a black bond it would break up the continuity. i'd rather see a black Jason bourne or create a new spy movie with a black hero. just create a new character making a hero black is a lazy cash grab.

That's not why idris is a good pick to people. It's him actually having bond-esque charisma, nh the attractiveness to women, and he's British...
How can his name not be attached? -
inb4 Jason Statham is announced as the new bond

150 mill for two movie got damn

Did you ever consider the possibilities that:
1) Money isn't everything.
2) He is already satisfied with his present wealth.
3) This role had taken a major toll on his body across 10 years and he no longer feels it's a part worth jeapordizing his health for.
4) He's just over this role altogether and wants to move on for good. -
Maybe he don't want to be remembered as just another Bond.
-
hes the best bond ive ever seen. the only one that made me seek out a bond movie. the physicality alone and for this long was unheard of. he been doing this since i was in 9th grade. had him looking a little sick in the last one, you can tell hes feeling the age. i know he borderline hates the franchise but if they let him turn the character on its head and take even more risks with the story telling that might get him to consider.

It might be to late for that. He was a relative unknown actor before he got Bond and these are his biggest movies.
The only way he shakes Bond is if over the next 10-15 years he does a few Oscar nominated roles and wins 1 or 2. -
Craig is a very aggy dude... he's not one to hide his thoughts or whatever concerning the movie industry.
I doubt he's gonna do another Bond film plus he'd want Sam Mendes on to direct and that's not likely either
I think it's laziness on the producers part to waste a 150 million on an aging uninterested actor than actually finding a replacement
Idris Elba is middle aged: whether he can execute a run of Bond movies into his 50s with a lot of physicality and stunts remains to be seen... -
Just let Mark Strong take over. First bald 007 lmao....eventhough Sean the ? connery wore a toupe for every film...
-
Thats suspect money for a role so interchangeable. I wonder if they would black ball him for refusing to do it.
