Podcasts The New Standup?

Im really gettin into podcasts lately, Budden, Combat Jack, Ice T, Snoop, Drink Champs. And their great cause they're unfiltered. You get industry stories and their life stories, from them and guests if they have them. What im also findin is alot of these cats are mad funny. With the way things are going now, to concerts becoming a record this fun fest, and not many people go to events for the events anymore. It seems like things are just watered down for a general audience and not people who might really enjoy the show. So do you think comedians would be better of getting podcasts than going on the road and doing as much shows?
