When I was in high school, it wasn't out of the ordinary to see high school girls getting picked up after school by ? in their early 20's.
Now, even back then, to me it seemed crazy........but nobody in a position of authority said anything about it.
Some chicks would even have college dudes as their prom dates.
No one in a position of authority......teachers, principals, administrators, etc.......would say anything about it.
As crazy as it seemed back then,........it makes more sense looking back on it now.
Keep in mind, that I was in high school from 83-87.
Most of the teachers at my high school were in their 30's, 40's, and 50's.
Therefore, most of them came from a generation in which it was normal for girls to be married and start having kids at 15-16 years old.
So, to them, it didn't seem like there was anything wrong with 16yr olds dating dudes in their 20's because they looked at them as women.......not girls.......once they turned 16.
Now that we're so many years removed from that generation of teachers, it's no longer acceptable today because girls that age are now viewed as children instead of women.
Granted, it probably still goes on, but it's not out in the open like it was back in the day.
Then again, maybe it's just taken on a different form with so many female teachers having sex with their students. -

If you go back from, say........the 50's-70's to the beginning of time.......most girls 15 and over were considered women once they had their period.
They'd be getting married and raising kids.
It's still that way to this day in some parts of the world.
By today's standards in the U.S. it's considered ? , but not by the standards of the past. -
