New SV, I've never really gotten into SV, was more a fan of Dilla's releases... but I'll be checking this one out in the near future.

Anyone given this a listen? Anyone a fan of Slum Village and can post up some of their best work as a collective?

There's this guy who produced majority of the songs... he's called Young RJ

Dilla had two tracks... there was one each from Mr. Porter and Hi-Tek

Plus Phonte and Pooh dropped by

I loved ALL the songs but the one that stuck in was the one they did with Keys, that female MC... she was on a Minaj spoof(?)

    Dwele dropped by as well...

Song is sick :tu the beats well nice, probably get heat for this, but ? reminds me of the Whisper Song by the Ying Yang twins, from the beat to the low-volume-slow flow they got going on.

Listening to this today... looking forward to it.

I don't know if this is the end of Slum Village as an entity... but it 's worth every penny I spent

The promo for these albums is simply atrocious!!!

It is considering the guest spots, I swear they could get some sales.

I gotta be honest, I don't be buying that many albums recently, they have to be on 'Boy Meets World' level for me to buy them or 'When Life Gives You Lemons'... I don't have the money like I used to as a kid, all my pocket money went on them and then at uni - my loans went on them haha I'm going to try and buy more though, I think I stopped more so when I had everything in HMV. Our stores are ? . Where do you get your albums from Dilla? 'Cos shipping costs are a joke.

    Amazon.co.uk

I buy used/old discs as well... some as low as £0.01 plus shipping/delivery costs

Convenient and cheaper for me... ? HMV

Nice on the 1p albums haha

Cool I'll look into it in the near future. I got no more room for CD's in my room, I'm tempted to start boxing some up that I don't listen to anymore, e.g. Ja Rule's Discography from when I was 12 haha

    Manifest>Detroit Deli?

    I would say yes... personally

You have to listen to it to appreciate it...

... and Deli was after Dilla left, so to me lacked that extra factor

For those who have the villa manifesto, or dont yet... Check out this song that didnt make the album. Some of the dopest ? ive heard in a while. Shows Baatin's creativity, and why he will be missed. To me, this song is on some smooth ghostface wordplay ? , but still showing how unique baatin was.

This album is one of my favourites of the year after hearing it... not in The Roots league, but definitely up there as far as most other releases.

Like Dilla says, it's a shame promotion is lacking for this album because musically this is an accomplishment for any group and the guest spots aren't wasted at all.
