I wanna know how much a decent set of turntables cost. My uncle wants to give me his vinyl collection and he easily has hundreds of records.

I'd love to do like old school parties or reggae parties. That'd be a lot of fun

Gemini or Nu-Mark, a good set will run you about 1200 bucks

It pays off in the long run -
real talk - now-a-days, cats is dj'in from their laptops and either usin Serato, or all digital interfaces that emulate vinyl turntable manipulation; they even make them for ipod use. if you're just getting into dj'ing, I'd go that route. I don't miss those vinyl dj days - ? bumpin' into ya' table, makin' the record skip and ? ; or being so ? you reach for something and drag the needle off the record.....I could go on, but you get tha picture. that vinyl collection could be worth some real money, ? - I know dudes who hustle records on e-bay; ? gettin' $100-$400 for rare records - if them ? is in good condition, you really might wanna look into it
