So Future is catching some flack for this quote in an interview he did...thoughts?
“You gotta sacrifice so much, even the times with your kids,” he explained. “You have to just do music and you’re becoming this entertainer and so many people require so much of your time for different things, different obligations you have to make money, or just different obligations you have as a person in whatever the situation may be. You gotta leave town and miss out on certain things, that you feel like you should be there. Like, your dad should be a part of this moment. I gotta be like, ‘Damn, man, your daddy really a superstar and entertainer.’ My kids gotta understand, they gotta make a sacrifice, having a superstar dad. My career choice is my career choice. Just stepping out of that zone, to be able to be a provider. I understand my position as a provider and my role as a dad also…Just being able to be comfortable with it. Everybody wanna be a super dad and the best dad ever but sometimes, I’m just realizing that I’m not perfect.”

There's no reason for outrage. He said what any self-respecting man that has a family should say.

I'm a regular cat, but I work crazy hours and miss a lot of time with my wife and son. It sucks, but daddy's gotta bring home the bacon. It's your responsibility as the man and the provider.

Anybody that feels otherwise shouldn't have a family; since they don't understand the concept of being a successful family requires sacrifice.

I'm not a superstar but I know a bit about this.

it's not a good position to be put in.

this is why a good woman is needed in situations like this.

Being objective? He kinda right. His kids do gotta take the L in order for him to provide. It ain't like the ? can do anything else.

I understand his frustration and the difficulty one would have with that but at the same time...
He also got to realize that when you knowingly put your kids second that rubs folks the wrong way.

The bold is what majority of the reactions I've seen focused on. Like saying "they just got to sacrifice"...like nah ? the kid shouldn't have to do that for the parent it should be vice versa. If he had stuck with "I sacrifice spending time w/ my kids to make sure I can provide a good life for them" that's one thing...but to say they have to sacrifice is going to make some people do a double take

I grew up like that, my pops was working 24/7 and I really only got to see him on the weekends (if that). My moms hated that ? but she held it down and I was the man of the house. We had a lot of friction when he actually did start being around more because I was used to being kang of the jungle so to say. But damn he really sacrificed a lot for our family and it was all for the best. thanks pops
