Katty Perry recently unfollowed the Migos on Instagram after backlash about a rumor of them refusing to perform with "queens" at her SNL performance. Joe Buddens talked about them being used before the backlash.

What you think? Is this just another pop star using and hip hop with no love for the art.

Nah buddens is right tho. Hip hop artists always lookin for the check instead of the big picture. Stop lettin these folks use the artform for their benefit. -
Budden stay dropping jewels, daily show for me if I dont watch I play it in the background.
-
This the IC, Joe Budden is never right.
-
Joe is right. These pop artists love using hip hop artists as props to gain an "edge" to their image.

Its always been like that pop stars only collaborate with whoever hot right now. If you a rapper and you got a couple hits, cats like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Katy or Sia will holla at you for a feature. Of course its some kind of exploitation but rappers profit from it too by broadening their audience and making more cash. ? I couldnt name Nicki Minajs last own single but she on the radio all the damn time cause of her verses on pop songs
-
Migos have WAY more to gain than her.
-
And these new ? (not Migos) are doing more harm to the art than anybody else
-
All this news over Katty Perry unfollowing migos? Is it that serious? Who spends there time watching these people every move?

It about her distancing herself from them over a rumor. I know its a business. But that ? was super fake. -

Agree 100%. It takes 2 parties to agree to a collab and 9 times outta 10 these pop stars already have a larger demographic to pull from. If keef and Katy did a song together back when he was blowing up it's not like a bunch of Chiraq savages are going to listen to her. ? after Jucy J did the joint with Katy he started getting booked for more festivals. It may look awkward and some of these pop stars are infatuated with the latest fads in rap but the rapper gains much more than the popstar.
Now as far as the SNL ? that was ? up the position the Migos were put in. To be asked to have people in drag on their joint was a catch 22. Because as soon as the ? leaked to news sites people blew it out of proportion like they were homophobic and they probally got attacked on twitter by discrimination baiters. Katy or whomever tried to force the Migos to do that should be put on blast. You can asked Yung Thug or Uzi about cross dressers on SNL. But you know that doesn't fit the Migos brand. -

Don't one of them ? from Migos carry a purse around? -

No, but the might carry a back pack with a couple of racks and a strap around. -
She probably was trying to use them, but they can use her right back, so it's fair. That's how showbusiness goes.
You think Juicy J didn't eat off that feature with her? Hell, she was an afterthought in the song. The beat and J were more memorable than her. -
I don't see nothing wrong with distanceing yourself away from somebody that can ? up money when y'all not even friends to begin with

Honestly who the ? cares it really is up to the specific rapper to decide if they will collab with a pop singer. ? Kendrick did a song with Taylor Swift and the first church of kendrick didn't say ? .
The culture vultures that need to be check are:
1. White people like Bieber that get too relaxed with black culture but saying the n word on the low
2. Vlad TV like media who exploit/troll the culture by showing bankrolls murder/talking about nas in bad ways without facts
Otherwise if a rapper wants to collab with a pop singer and the pop singer dances awkwardly like Katy we can laugh at the ? or ignore it. In the long wrong ? like the migos will gain more fans from it and in some ways Katy might get hate mail from parents for collabing with "thugs". The pop star has everything to lose brand wise. -
So rapping about killing each other and ? on the next man is black culture?

Miley Cyrus made a whole album alongside Mike Will and then came back and dissed the genre. That can't happen was the point of my post. You got anything on that? Don't ? quote me bro -

The genre is about dissing though.
