    But i honestly dont remember when it 1st dropped. I came across the track years later while listening to a Detroit mix by Rude Jude on Shade45

    Did it get mass appeal?

    Or was it a hidden gem?

    It don't have to sell crazy to be a classic. He spit the perfect lyrics to that kinda beat. Some MC's get devowered by a tight beat. He fought that beat to perfection.

    I didnt ask if he has classics songs

    I asked if he ever had a "hit" song....

    I ask this because Trick had multiple hit songs

    Talib had 1

    Did Royce ever have one?

    His self admitted biggest radio song. I'm not sure exactly what it did on the charts or the clubs but apparently it got spins. Give it a listen

    You have to a pioner to be a legend...Royce is just a spitter he has not achive anything .

    Not sayin he is a wack rapper but Fab,Banks or Pusha ain't legends either.

    Yeah all of them I mention are probably better spitters than Too Short but no way they are legends because of that.

    Too Short put Bay on the map and hold it down .. That ? is a ? LEGEND .

    Doesn't suck for radio, that was the style of songs most rappers were doing back in the early 2000's. I don't like Talibs radio songs to be honest but whatever works. * shrugs *

    according to Royce It got him the most spins overall. Maybe in Detroit Rock City was bigger. I like Rock City better personally but I don't dictate popularity I guess.

    3/4 of his career have been underwhelming as a solo artist...he had all the pieces and can't put them together

    Pryme and layers have him on track along with his bar exam mixtapes but he's past the time frame to make a big impact
