Fire. Going by what I heard and the title, it sounds like what would happen if Future and Roy Ayers made an album together. Do you listen to Flying Lotus a lot? The way you mix down your samples, it reminds me of him.

Definitely wanted to fuse elements from cool jazz, acid, retro RnB, with current elements of today's urban cultural sound. And I listen to everything, Flying Lotus, Little Dragon, Monte Booker, TokiMonsta, Fela Kuti, ? Projectors, Solange and Sampha, Kelela, etc.
I wanted to created this project based on a idea of what would a playlist sounds like if Basquiat, Sun Ra, Chet Baker, Future and Lil Pump all sat in a room and discussed ideas.
And yes the interlude was about Basquiat -

Thanks for the listen man, I'm constantly trying to improve. And should i invest in focal monitors? Gonna finally get me some studio monitors soon. All my mixes are on earbuds based on my financial situation so hopefully whenever I make the big step up to monitors it will show with my music. -

The Focals are unnecessary. I'm just extra. I wanted a good balanced frequency response that I could both enjoy music with and mix occasionally. I got the Focal Alpha 50. If you're on a budget, the JBL LSR305 is great and only $99 each right now on Sweetwater. However, the most important thing with what you mix on is knowing how what you're mixing on will translate to other systems.
