    Lupe, no doubt.....

    BUT I haven't heard too much Jay Elec, whereas I check out almost every Lupe track I can....

    So I'm a lil bias....

    Off Topic: I like your top 10 T/S....it's just missin Scarface and a few rappers need switchin round and then our list would be pretty ? identical.....good ? .

    I don't know how we can compare someone who's never put out an album to someone who has multiple albums.

    IMO Jay Elect has the potential to be = or > Lupe, but who knows what'll happen.

    I never been too big on Lupe. I listened to the albums cuz of all the hype... and they were good, but I never played them again. so I'll give Jay Electronica the benefit of the doubt and say that if he makes at least a solid debut then I will probably listen to it more than any Lupe album.

    Unless this next Lupe album is the one to finally make me a fan.

    thanx. the ones in my top 5 are in order from the people that either changed my outlook or made me love hip hop even more. the other 5 i didn't know what order to put them in but i enjoy their catalogues. i don't really know too much from face but i still respect what he did for hip hop tho.

    No offense to Jay Elec, New Orleans 4 lyfe, but i gotta go with Lupe. he has more energy, less monotone, doesn't go over my head as much, & nerdy subject matter i.e. some lines in Gold Watch appeal to me more. Lupe is just my personal favorite rapper since 2005, drop that album Jay & make it a tie

    if they got on a track together Jay E would not be outshined. but Lupe probably wouldn't either.

    Jay & Lupe are actually planning to do a collab album, so we'll see... hopefully.
