My anthropology teacher (a white guy), hinted at the idea of white people being a combination of neanderthal( a completely separate lineage of primate which had already been in europe) and humans arriving from africa

Experts are now convinced that early modern humans and Neanderthals interbred between 50,000 and 100,000 years ago.
As a result, between one and four per cent of our DNA comes from the prehistoric creature, according to the research.

Human-Neanderthal relations occurred as the first pioneering bands of ? sapiens ventured out of Africa, scientists believe.
When they reached the Middle East they ran into groups of Neanderthals who preceded them and it is now thought that they mated.
The discovery emerged from the first attempt to map the complete Neanderthal genetic code, or genome. It more or less settles a long-standing academic debate over interbreeding between separate branches of the human family tree.
Evidence in the past has pointed both ways, for and against modern humans and Neanderthals mixing their genes.
Technically the Neanderthals, ? neanderthalensis, were a human subspecies which parted evolutionary company from our direct ancestors between 270,000 and 440,000 years ago.
Around 400,000 years ago early Neanderthals stepped out of their African cradle, where ? sapiens was still evolving, and headed for Europe and Asia.
At least 300,000 years later early modern humans followed the Neanderthals out of Africa.
The two populations coexisted in Europe and Asia until the Neanderthals vanished forever around 30,000 years ago – probably driven into extinction by the smarter and more competitive modern humans.
Professor Svante Paabo, director of evolutionary genetics at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, Germany, who led the international project, said that humans in Europe all have "caveman biology".
African humans did not come into contact with Neanderthals but may have bred with other unknown human sub species, he said.
The research, which took four years and is published in the journal Science, involved disentangling and making sense of 1.1 billion DNA fragments taken from Neanderthal bones.
They are monkey-men and dog-men, some of them still have hair on their backs. -

Your insinuation that whites are inherently smarter due to brain size is racist and untrue, and im sure youre not splitting atoms,building spaceships or controlling a multinational conglomorate YOURSELF, so dont try to claim accomplishments for "white people"

I believe in evolution so essentially Yes. We are all (as in humans) a hybrid species in our own way.

Well it isn't like there was one orangutan and everyone evolved from it. The fact we are 99.9% equal in terms of humans proves that we are the same species. There were separate branches during the evolution process which is where the small % of difference originates from. It's like an apple tree, their are differences on the outside and minor differences on the inside of each apple, at the end of the day though it's still an apple. -

The London Daily Telegraph reported in August 2006 that “People of European descent may be five per cent Neanderthal.” The Telegraph was reporting the findings of a study group headed by Dr. Vincent Plagnol of the University of Southern California.
This group analyzed a grand total of 34 people from Utah. Some of these were of Northern or Western European descent and some were from the Yoruba people from West Africa. The researchers found anomalies in their comparisons of genetic information. They explained these by supposing that the Europeans’ genes were not simply from the supposed human ancestors migrating from Africa, but contained the DNA of another archaic human species—probably Neandertals.
Plagnol explained, “Instead of a population that left Africa 100,000 years ago and replaced all other archaic human groups, we propose that this population interacted with another population that had been in Europe for much longer, maybe 400,000 years.”1
The dominant theory of human evolution has it that all humans evolved from creatures in Africa about 2.5 million years ago. What is not widely understood is that not all evolutionary biologists accept the “Out of Africa” model. This is seen clearly in the controversies over the so-called ? floresiensis, or hobbit people, from Indonesia—now recognized to be nothing more than a dwarf normal human.2 -

Genetics has also revealed that we bred with them and those of us of European descent carry at least 4% Neanderthal genes. Not only were Neanderthals gossiping to us over the cave wall 24,000 years ago, but they were silver-tongued enough to guarantee that a little of them lived on in us.
Analysis of chimp and human DNA has revealed how we separated from ancestral apes approximately 10m years ago. But the parallel evolving species of early ape-men and archaic apes continued to breed with each other for at least another 4m years. -
