Where there ever be a rise in communism again. China, I think we can would all agree is no longer Communist. It has embraced capitalism yet is still under the banner of "People's Republic".

Cuba is still communist. Laos, Vietnam, N.K.

I still consider China a communist country but to each his own, they don't have a capitalistic system but rather planned economics.

And it's not dead, the old form is dying, but a new school generation of Communism is just beginning.

IMO America is also becoming a communist country in it's own form. Not straight communist but a mixture of fascist and communist. There are many parties here but there is one beginning to make all the decisions and that's the corporations and the peoples word is becoming less and less useful as we go on because everyone living in this country bought into the system and were brainwashed throughout the years of what a communist or socialist country is and it got to the point that we failed to realize the very things we were taught were bad is happening right in front of us. And no one is fighting back against the government because they have 42 flavors of soda to choose and 3 major video game systems and as long as we have addictive unhealthy food and even unhealthier entertainment to keep us sick and preoccupied leading to stupidity it will continue.

Cuba is moving toward some free market reforms. As much as I respect the Cuban People, they ultimately will have to leave the ancient concept of forced system of communal sharing.

Communism is not dead, but the buzzards are circling. What you will begin to see is a hybrid system that takes the best of whatever system. Countries like Iran, France, Libya, etc. that combine some aspects of socialism with the good qualities of a free market system.

if we're not calling China communist --you are, but if "we" are not-- then Vietnam probably comes off that list as well.
