Now I know they say you are responsible for what your kids listent to, but dig. So Saturday me, moms, and my daughter was riding the train downtown when we and the rest of the passengers were subjected to some nappy headed, pony tail pulled to the side rat and her buddy playing her cell phone. Everybody on the train was clearly annoyed of the lyrics, "? , sucking ? , smacking hoes" and what not. some Wacka Flocka or some ? . Everybody complaining until I just snapped out, and told her to say some slick ? to moms if she want's, the train does'nt want to hear that ? and I don't want my 8 year old listening to that ? either, was I wrong. Damn, hood individuals

I think it's good to let them know what's acceptable and what's not.

My son is 11 but I will not play certain things in front of him even though he's a boy.

My daughter remembers everything she hears so her spit Wacka Flocka IS NOT on the "things to do" list.

Hey you got to do what you got to do. But in the crib I don't let her listen to that ? , hell I don't listen to that ? . But I don't want to hear that ? out in the street, now when she gets older and out on her on I can't do that. But my daughter does have a variety of music she digs a lot. Being a DJ she's heard all types of jazz and neo soul and old soul she'll go on youtube and actully pull up Horace Silvers "Song For My Father" and she loves Nas's "Whose World is This"

you could have just ignored it

it was annoying you that bad?

But my parents stopped monitoring my music at like 13

Most parents really dnt have control over what goes on their children's cell phone unless they occasionally go through it

I have to monitor the music that I listen to for myself. One of my cousins that I grew up with used to have all the ? hip-hop/rap albums that came out like N.W.A, Ice-T's Power, Eazy-E, Wu-tang, etc. I really didn't get into ? at that time and I know that would've changed a part in my upbringing. I actually didn't start listening to music with a lot of profanity until 2003.

Isn't this the 2nd time you told a young person to turn that ? off on the train?

But no you weren't wrong these tweens have no respect. I know I never listened to rap out loud in front of my parents when I was 13, I was nervous the 1st time my father took my Yellow Sony Walkman and wanted to know what I was listening to. I know when I'm on the train in the morning I even lower my I-Pod because I know the head sets are loud.

Man the patients will sit in the waiting area with a room full of other patients and let the cell phone ride for song after song. When you in the clinic you don't want to hear that ? . I had tell one lady "ma'am, do you mind cutting that off, we getting complaints from the other patients" she say some ignant ? like, well if I have to wait all this time to see a doctor I should be able to do what I want. Really, FOH
