Drizzy Drake came prepared lyrically ont he song "thank me now" imo. Dude used majority of the album as a display for his diversity but on the track "Thank me now", produced by Timbaland, Drake seemed to shine more so on the mic whilst mixing some of his harmonizing crooning throughout the song. This set of bars though are the high light of the entire song imo.1:16-1:30
"I could relate to kids going straight to the league
when they recognise that you got what it takes to succeed
and thats around the time that your idols become your rivals
you make friends with Mike but gotta AI him for your survival"

what do you think? Dope or nope?

Hella dope. Very real ? he spit in this song too.

"you could thank me now for all the info I give to you ?
I’m on the brink of influential
    I’m here for you ?
I guess a hit doesn’t add up to a career for you ?
I must have been hard to watch,
    what a year for you ? "

    Dude was browsing the IC.

"I got flows for the Marilyn Monroe’s who’s there before it all
I guess thats how it goes
they hear about your cons or focus on your pro’s
and love you for who you are from the bottom of their soul
but those same ones from your area will grow
into women that are ready to get married at hello
    because of what they allow
    where are they all now
I know there somewhere watching so I’m trying to make them proud"

Hell the part you quoted was a section of a huge ass metaphor.

    yeah that
"I must ave been hard to watch...what a year for you ? " was flames

? essentially ethered a lot of talkers with that line and the one before it
    "I guess a hit doesn't add up to a career for you ? '

drake can still pull that cmeback season flow out though, he proved it with that song

Dope. I wasnt really THAT into the beat though, it was alright but nothing spectacular. 9AM in Dallas shows he can still get on that Comeback Season level as well

    Cooooooo -sizzle.
    How is he lyrically trash?

he has mutlis, punchlines, metas, similes, internal rhymes and more.
He doesnt pretend to be anything he isn't.

his biggest weakness is his predictable flow.

Ignoring his Show Me A Good Time and Fireworks flows, another co-sign.
