They were okay.... Switch, Slave, New Birth, Heatwave, Loose Ends, SOS Band etc. All underrated bands that dont get talked about. But they get mad play my iPod all the time.
Good to know there's other out there still bumping those underrated good old soul bands. -

That's wassup... My dad had vinyls for days.... All the bands mentioned above, plus EWF, Kool & the Gang, Brass Construction, The Time, Dazz Band, Lakeside etc. and the list goes on... So I basically grew up off that stuff too....
Then my mom had her stuff vinyls/tapes which was moreso the Luther, Lionel, Teddy, Marvin, Johnny Gill, Patti, etc.
It's good to know I ain't the only one that still listening to that stuff regularly. I'm guessing a majority of the posters in this forum probably don't know who they are though, or heard of them but don't know their songs. -

I jam Switch just though I was alone. I had to school some youngins at the park about where the throw some Ds and I aint mad at ya beat came from they walked away Switch & Debarge fans.

My personal favorite jam from them when I play this for my woman "Give me 3 and half mins maybe even fo' she be ready to marry nugga"

that's exactly what happened. my dad happened to have their greatest hits so he put it on my ipod. I knew about Debarge from way back when but not Switch. Anyone remember The Jets?.
