What made you decide to keep your hair natural? What do you you like about it the most?

I don't know...I was just tired of getting perms.

I like the versatility of styles.

    1. Tired of straight hair all the time, tired of relaxers (money & the process).
    2. healthier (for me and my hair), variety (can go from straight to curly), stand out.

Both are understandable reasons. A lot time and money are consumed in the process.

I'm not 100% natural just yet. (still transitioning)

My hair had some serious breakage/thinning due to the depo shot so I decided to leave the harsh chemicals alone. I used to hate wearing my hair curly now I love it.

    I' love my natural hair,
I love it when I come outta the shower and I don't have to brush it out esp. when I'm rushing and it all untangles by itself, by the time Im home, my hair looks like it has been blow dried, or used some sort of volume boost when I let it naturally dry out..

Nothing wrong at all, because it is different and unique.

    heres goes lol.

to me it was all about excepting myself for who i was.
i remember i used to hate how big my nose was, how big my lips were, just stupid ? like that.
and i finally excepted myself, and i guess it spread to my hair lol.

i went natural about 2 years ago. transitioned for 4 months, BC'ed and was natural for a year. relaxed again ( issues with acceptance) and here i am
shaved my head, and my 6 month hair anniversary is on september 21st :D

needless to say, IMO natural hair>>>>>>>>>

I guess for a lot of us, it takes time to really appreciate the things/aspects of ourselves that really make us unique.

Still loving the all responses. Please keep on adding.
