I caught part of the interview ESPN showed with Wade, Lebron, and Bosh and Wade finally said what I've been waiting for him to say about the criticism they've gotten from older players and some fans about teaming up together and said that Charles Barkely should look at his own carerr before he criticizes them...where did this assumption come from that Bird, Magic, Jordan etc. did it on their own...there were other HOF's on those Laker, Bulls, and Celtics teams...and like Wade said Barkely took his ass to Houston with Hakeem and CLyde Drexler...great players have always played with other great players...

Big difference...Barkley was actually over the ? at that point, he was getting injured and wasn't exactly the Barkley of the 76ers...so that a bigger difference...we hear about aging vets all the time trying to join up to have one last shot at a championship

but LeBitch, DeWayne "ticky tack fouls machine from falling" Wade, and Chris ? are all in their prime.............if you can't do it alone with lesser roles players then you don't deserve to win one..............

so the 80's Lakers, a team with multiple hall of famers all in their prime...do they fall under this as well?

Ya, that was the whole point behind people being disappointed with Lebron. He's only like 25, and joining up with a team that w/o him could make a championship run. Wade made a comment that he knew wasn't really addressing the issue. Wade and Lebron are both argued to be top 5 in the league right now. Was Barkley when he teamed up with those guys?

there were other HOF's on those Laker, Bulls, and Celtics teams. yes thats true because of who they played with and the multiple rings won. would scottie be a hof if he played in cleveland with mark price and ehlo. The cheif(robert parrish) was aight but he would have won in milwaukee. Clyde came from portland, a very good portland team.

great players have always played with other great players. wrong, great players make the players around them better. thats what all the fuss is about. they are tryna take the easy road to the ring. instead of building with the team around you. look how long it took jordan and look at some of those squads from jordans eary years. he neva wanted to jump ship. LEBRON KNOWS THAT HE DOSENT HAVE THE NUTS TO WIN A RING BY HIMSELF. point blank peroid

Thats why John Stockton and Reggie Miller get alot of respect from me, as a basketball purist.

They spent a damn near 2 decades in ? cities with one team.

Somebody even tried to burn down Reggies house in Indianapolis, and he still stayed.

That team was drafted...............big difference...Kareem was already there, Magic was drafted as well as Bryon Scott and Coop I believe...Rambis, Rev. Green and them were unbelievable role players....................they played their role

But we never had collusion like this before with the Heat, that a HUGE difference for NBA fans who grew up in the 80s, even me.

This truth should be so obvious that Wade wouldn't have even made that comment. Barkley's move was closer to the Boston Big 3 than the Miami Big 3. He was past his prime and trying to get on a winning team. It's not like Charles tried to get on the Sonics the year after they lost to the Bulls in an attempt to get a ring.

Another thing that Wade is missing out on is the fact that a lot of those great players who had other hall of famers on theeir team are responsible for those other players being hall of famers. Pippen was a great player, but he would have made it to the HoF without Jordan. He said that himself.

It was Steve Alford who was the Tim Tebow of college basketball back in the 80s at Indiana.....funny thing was as good was Alford was, Isiash Thomas did more as a PG at Indiana University than Alford, yet cause he was black and from Chi-town they didn't want nothing to do with him during his college years, but soon as Alford comes along, they try to hype him as the next Great White Hope.....

completely different situation of course, either these players were drafted and developed in that franchise into Hall of Famers or they joined up after being past their prime.

the fact that Wade felt he needed to make this statement just shows there was absolute truth in Barkley's words and Wade was still feeling hurt from the ether.

Barkley to me is on that second tier of hall of fame NBA superstars. He is in that Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, and Akeem tier. Players that were very good or even great but couldnt win unless a player of the same level or better join them by being drafted or obtained through trade or FA. This tier is mostly a second fiddle or center/PF. Barkley was a beast of a player and dominated dudes much taller.

    d. wade will get the pub if they win. Lebron and Bosh will be relugated to second fiddle. IMO!

Barkley was 33 goin on 34 and he was traded to the rockets he also was injury plagued his whole career there.

Ya'll should really stop with the boston and the lakers had so and so 3 hof'rs etc.Its a difference to be traded or drafted to a team and colluding wit your friends on some piggyback non sense

Kg,ray allen and Pierce were all in their early 30's barkley, drexler, hakeem and then pippen were all in their mid to late 30's

    Its no comparison at all
