October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This thread is dedicated to ?

Post what you'd like in here about helpful information, what you are doing to help, stories on how breast cancer has effected you, questions you have ,or just whatever

Currently I'm licking lids and saving them to send to Yoplait. They donate 10 cents for every lid you send in to Susuan G Komen for the Cure.

http://www.yoplait.com/slsl/

How often do you give yourself a breast exam in the shower? I admit I don't do it as often as I should.

I have 2 cousins and an Aunt who are breast cancer survivors. One of them lost both of her ? and it might have been avoided if she had detected the cancer earlier. Ladies....it's so important to be pro active with your health

Is anyone participating in Race for the Cure ? I've done it in the past and will probably do it again this year.

Find a race at http://ww5.komen.org/findarace.aspx

Think Pink !!!!

I thought about either doing this or the AIDSwalk. Haven't made up my mind but I know I want to do something.

Also did you see football this week? All the men in pink shoes, hats, towels,...glad to see they weren't trippin off the feminine color and were game to represent a good cause. I hope this continues.

    Good thread btw.

do you actually do the self exams like you're supposed to?

My aunt is a breast cancer survivor. She lost 75% of one breast but she's now cancer free. My mom participates in a ride for breast cancer every year thru her bike club.

I liked seeing all of the pink in the games on sunday. I am gonna buy some pink charger gear to support the cause. :)

Props Ms S! Great thread and I support this movement. Women definitely do need to be more informed and aware. It can happen to anyone regardless of age!

    real thread.............me personally I lubs the ? :)

but seriously though I respect the movement personally

I wear a pink breast cancer ribbon pin on my shirt to work, and I def can dig how the NFL is supporting breast cancer awareness month by having the teams wear pink accents during games

I've never had a female related to me personally have to suffer thru breast cancer specifically, but I think cancer in many forms is a topic that people should take more seriously and offer victims support

my moms is dealing with a different type of cancer right now and already had to get a serious surgery done last year

me Ejaculoid, MACA, Saw Pametto, Sweedish Flower petals, ZMA, and ? goat weed and drank lots of water and wait 4 weeks just to bust 10 ml+ on my Creole's chick ?
