I know I'm not the only one using FL Studio to make beats and record vocals...

yea i just learned tha throwing compression on the entire session is bad news, i underestimated the fruity limiter tho...but like always a lot of what you do on FL should be done by ear but having these tricks helps a lot, I just learned a whole new technique for when I jack drums from a break....again props my ? .

i used to record in acid 4 for the longest time then one day i got the bright idea to search for a usb mic. found a good cheap one and it's been on ever since. i mean at that point i was already mixing whatever i recorded in acid down in fl studio anyway so i figured there had to be a way to cut out the middle man.
