I watch the original Swedish version, "Let the right one in", and that was a classic movie in my opinion. I am very wary to watch this one, but might check it out to see Chloe Moretz performance. She had great comedic timing in Kick Ass, would like to she how she does in a serious movie.

What toheeb27 said. The fact the original came out not long ago makes me think what's the point, but then Chloe Moretz is usually great so it could be worth watching to see how well she does in it

Vampires needing to be invited into someones home to enter is a part of vampire mythology/folklore. Some films have used it, some havent. i guess in this film they decided that a vampire entering a home uninvited would die.

It’s a pretty deep movie, and I loved it. There was great acting from the main characters.

The car scene was just intense! lol, That and the pool scene was awesome!

In the book the girl vampire is a boy who was abused and then eventually castrated. The movie shows it, but doesn't explain it for some reason, and only hints at it. When Eli says she's not a girl, she doesn't mean she isn't human, she means she used to be a boy.

The american verison is a film about vampires to that happens to feature kids.
