... that there was a noteworthy mass media production where men were allowed to openly discuss the many problems American women present.

I was talking with about this on another forum with some dudes, but we don't have enough ladies over there to provide counterpoints to our complaints. ( http://thahiphopcorner.com/forum/ )

It feels like you can easily make something where men are buffoons, idiots, and sexual deviants. But I can't recall, off the top of my head, the last TV show or movie where we got to call out women for being unstable, irresponsible, and overweight.

So that's why I'm looking for a female perspective.

    ur right about that. there is definitely a double standard. well...outside of black women, cause we get depicted as those things + more in lots of films. But I see where ur going with this. Dont think i wanna sign up on another forum to discuss it tho....i'll check it out...

    i can think of plenty of instances where black women are depicted as arrogant and fat, but the production wasn't focused on that subject
