Thread is for the "believers", but all are welcome to throw in their ideas and opinions....

What has Jesus saved you from? You believe in him, live for etc, what are you saved from?

I got "saved" again when I was 12... I was told and ultimately believed that I was saved at that time from my past sins and from the devils temptation.

Two years later I learned I wasn't saved from ? and women, and so began my journey and my realization that I was only ? not saved.

If being saved from ourselves was that easy, heaven would be on earth already!

Surely we are "savable" in some way no?

    Yes, through death.

A living being cannot resist some form "sin" or temptation. It's all natural, you can only hope to contain it during the right moments.

    No such thing as sin.
Just a made up term to trick feeble minds into following a man made religion.

So if no one ever told any one about how lying is a mistake, people would go around lying because they don't feel like they are making a mistake?

    of course.
just like if stealing wasnt "wrong" no one would feel "guilty" afterwards

I don't think I needed someone to tell me I felt like ? when I lied to someone.

You're only human...flesh, blood, organs and bone...but your human body also consist of a spirit and a soul. When you get saved or the true biblical term "born again", once you confessed your life to Christ, your spirit being(internal) is the main element that's saved, not your flesh(external) unfortunately still has those fleshly desires.

Would you leave your hand on a burning stove? lol No? Then don't tell us that nature doesn't have ways of telling us what's right or wrong.

vs what? PHysical pain is one of the ways someone can tell what is right or wrong. You said we wouldn't know right from wrong unless someone told us... you're dead wrong... dead... wrong.

If Chike and I were colleagues in Congress, we'd be on opposite sides of the aisle but work together on one issue, much like McCain-Feingold.

    1) Well I guess the people are wrong then.

    2) If it kills us and we know it kills us, then it's wrong. Trial and error. Some things are known right away when they're extremely wrong. Other things kills us slowly and takes time to realize it's wrong.
