Are NBA Arguements Like "Kobe vs. LBJ vs. MJ" and "Top 50" good for the sport?

Or is it like hip-hop arguments where nobody gets anywhere and at the end of the day its a bunch of haters that accomplished nothing?

Does it create more fans or create revenue or a larger fan base through rivalry games? Cuz consider the HEAT having to make commercials begging people to go tot he games after all the hype. All that hype and fans going back & forth and....meh.

Or does all that not matter and its all about being able to throw it in the next man's face when your fav. player does well or the person you sports-hate doing bad?

Sports debates are like getting the high score on a video game. Fun/frustrating to do but ultimately pointless.

Its not bad for the sports its just an opinion..at the end of the day the results and tape speak for themselves.. stats/record sells dont tell you the circumstances or the how and when.. the truth ultimately lies in the skill not the pomp and circumstance.. Your eyes dont lie.
