"Jon Gruden could be making a return to coaching — but not in the NFL.
In the 24 hours since the University of Miami fired head coach Randy Shannon, multiple stories have named Gruden as a strong candidate to take over the job."
According to the Sun Sentinel, Gruden initiated contact with the University of Miami to say he wants to be the school’s next coach, and the school told Gruden that the interest is mutual.

Looks like he has accepted for 3.4 mil. That's what my unnamed source is telling me. That would be a steal.

would be a good look for the U...
-
? would be quick, but ima wait til I see "Breaking News"
-
Hate to see him leave the booth. I guess this time ESPN will go back to getting ridiculous commentators for MNF. I guess now they'll get Glenn Beck or Tim Allen to do Monday Night Football. smh

It would have to be immediately. Recruiting is year round. -

Manny Navaro of the Miami Herald
@Manny_Navarro : Hearing Jon Gruden has agreed to $3.4 mil deal to become #UM's next coach. Trying hard to confirm it officially.

He would probably stay for the money, for the last few games. -

This ? , GNR!!!!!!
For real though. I'm mad. Gruden was suppose to take over at South Carolina when Spurrier was done. I can't blame him for jumping on that "U" job though. -

well if this is indeed true and he gets the job I dont see how he could finish the season on MNF... but I could be wrong... ESPN might let him finish it out -
Gruden to the U? Sounds like a good fit. Once he learns how to recruit well he could bring em back to prominence. Gotta hire the right coaches too.

Nah , Schools want u to Get to work as soon as u Sign on the Dotted Line, Recruiting and All, he wouldnt even have time for ESPN ...
And also thats a Unfair Recruiting Advantage when u have someone thats a Head Coach in College Announcing Pro-Games , cuz u just see his face over and over and it's well known he'd be the coach at a school like that.
he wouldnt be announcing anymore games. -

Yo KOP, what's your take on Griden being at all them South Carolina games and practices? ? was even seen at away games. Most of us diehard Gamecock fans just knew Spurrier was gonna have Gruden take over when the Head Ball Coach was done. It wasn't a real big secret in Columbia. Gruden just saw a nice opportunity I guess. Like I said I don't blame him but damn I'm mad.
