And I guess Disney finally finished it. Needless to say, it is a breath-taking, if not majestic work of art. Two of the greatest, most prolific artistic geniuses of the 20th century in Salvador Dali and Walt Disney came together to make this short film in 1946 and they just remastered it. I can't stop watching it. The song itself makes the entire film to me.

Well with surrealism, you aren't meant to know what's going on exactly. Knowing the background of Dali, I can kind of get the gist of it. It's basically a short film about destiny and undying love - hence the title "Destino". I'm thinking the woman is his wife Gala. She's just prancing around in this dreamscape as her soul mate literally springs from the primordial clays of Creation to come to her. I mean really that's all it's symbolizing to me. Dali loved his wife more than anything. He often called her his muse and the spark to his fire so I could definitely see this as an ode to his eternal love for Gala. It has the classic Disney touch with the Disney soundtrack that really brings it all together. I'm shocked they never did anymore movies.
But ya don't get caught up in all the parlor tricks. The core message is still there. -
Surrealism is like if your dream was able to dream. It's an alternate reality of your subconscious. Everyday objects rendered useless or disfigured but still recognizable.

She fell for him because he was focused, Dali didn't notice her till she stepped into his world and became part of his art/inspiration, the ? temptations didn't phase him.

Hmm elaborate my brotha -
She saw him with time under his hand reaching high, she fell in love with him took him into her heart, entered his world, tried to woo him, but just got art and on lookers. When she noticed his environment, what was laid out before him, the shadow of the bell tower for example, she became it, and he woke up to her lure and became his muse.
