...yeah....it's got me in a real weird place...we broke up the beginning of this year...it was alot more bad times than good, but the good times are so easily remembered now...i don't want to go to his funeral for a few reasons, mainly because I don't want my last image of him to be in a casket...my friends say I'm wrong....anybody been through this?? I need some feedback please...

Thanx for the input, but it's not that simple. I feel it's my duty to pay my respects cause I know if it were the other way around, he would be there for me... -
Go to the funeral dude

ummmm hello vanna white bread -
You should go to the funeral and say goodbye, you're wanting to remember him alive won't make him alive. Death is a rough burden to bare, but regret is the heaviest.

Thats what I was thinking...but I'm freaking out at the thought of seeing him in a casket...it would just make it all too real...plus his kids and bm will be there as well as the rest of his family..his mom said I should come...ithink I would rather just visit his grave by myself.... -

Dang, sorry to hear about your loss. But, to answer the question of the thread, you should go and pay your respects. What you said above sounds a little selfish (no offense), but if he meant something to you at some point, then you should do it for him/ his family and not make it about you and what you want. -

I say don't go and remember him as he was. Maybe stop by and drop off a card or something to his mom and call it a day.

Wow, so sorry to hear this. I can't even imagine if any of my exes died, it would definitely be hard to deal with. I think you should go b/c you may regret not going later in life.

I think that you should go, for 2 reasons. 1. To pay your respects, and 2. To give you some closure so you can be at peace with yourself for the spirit, mind, body and soul..

wassup pac fan polamalu, how you? -
Go pay your respect and be out. If you don't go I feel like you'll regret it down the road. The guy and you had a deep connection at one point, so I mean that has to count for something.
