The Left are a hip hop group consisting of Journalist 103 (the emcee), who presumably takes to his name because of his storytelling abilities, producer Apollo Brown (who has gritty soulful beats that are solid to say the least) and DJ Soko. After listening to this album, it's obvious that Apollo Brown is incredibly talented and his beats create a soundscape that any gifted emcee would revel in. That said, Journalist 103 is nice with his rhymes never forgetting a list of talented guest appearances including Finale who I've listened to before (on a Pipe Dream and a Promise & T.I.M.E), Kool G Rap and a bunch of others.
Anyways, this album was in some posters top 5's and I did happen to sleep on it for 3 months since it's release. It wouldn't have been number one on my top 5 albums, but potentially it may enter my top 5 albums of 2010, simply because everything about this album is dope. Detroit has another solid hip hop group and it's showcased here with Gas Mask, a 2010 sleeper.

Binoculars and Where We Live are both dope, production wise and lyrically, also love the songs with Kool G and Finale
