I'm not knocking Rakim because dude was nice and he's got classics and he helped changed the game but Kane was better. Sure BDK sold out a little bit but style, performance and skills overall he was better than Ra. Kane made it to where you could be cool and smooth but still be a lyrical beast. Rakim has great lyrics but i hate using this word but his swag was 0 from 1-10 and his delivery just stayed the same while Kane was just murding ish. Plus Kane had to showed he could hang even with a beast like Kool G Rap in his group. Plus Kane's new ? >>>>Rakim's new ? . So can we finally cut the ? ? Kane was better.

Wrath of Kane >>>>>>> Lyrics of Fury
Let The Rhythm Hit Em >>>>>>>>>>>>> Mortal Combat
This ? goes back and forth. The comparison is ageless and will continue until the end of time. -
Rakim birthed Nas
Kane birthed Jay Z (who started with that quick flow and used to open for Kane)
I think an argument could be made that Kane is more influential on hiphop's direction in 2011... -
