    Oh I always assumed that category was for a FWB situation or one where you're not sure if you're fully in or out of a relationship. To me it's simply a broad term to describe people who don't have an s/o but are not fully alone either.

    Just because things aren't going "right" at that moment, it doesn't mean that it'll continue to stay that way.

    I think people use that term when things aren't quite certain/sure.
