Foxy BrownFoxy 1st lp was dope
-
Foxy BrownI voted Foxy just cuz she basically took over "ain't no ? "(which I hate but she cooked that verse), stood out on LL's I shot cha, had some cold ass verses on the Firm ? like affirmative Action (both original and the remix) could probably out rap Lil Kim if they do some songs together or go head up on stage battle situation and she crushed Kim over Memphis Bleek's "Mind Right" beat
But Rhyme for ? Rhyme nobody was actually messing wit Lady of Rage if you really peep "Necessary Roughness". Missy deserve some props too for being able to make mainstream hits and being original as well as rap at any speed.
Ima add on to the trend of the thread real quick, No Jean Grae? No Miss Jade? No Deadly Venoms? -
Foxy BrownCharlie Baltimore is underrated also. I always liked what she did on this DJ Premier beat.

Truthfully, Latifah and Lyte are 80's rappers that had careers in the 90's. At the very least Lyte would really be considered an 80's rapper since her first two albums dropped in the 80's. The argument could be made for Latifah being 90's 'cause she only had one album in the 80's (1989) and the rest in the 90's. -
