Much to often people speak about their cities and the bad side of their respective neighborhoods and communities. In the midst of all the negative “socio-political” and negative “social epidemic”,
What are some of the BEST things your city, community or neighborhood have got to offer? Opposed to the typical stereotype about your area!
What are some of the things or ideas you find that can be done to change your city neighborhood or community for the better?

Maryvale got much good Mexican food. And the elotero men and women. The pick up futbol games are lit

What can be done to improve this community I live in is to reinvest in local businesses here and to not close down the hospital that they plan to close down that wasn't cool when they made that decision

Nashville is being gentrified.
The white people no longer fear us. Quite sad, really.
But Nashville is a good party city.
I talk to one of our promoters and he's trying to get Trap Karaoke here (I'm super excited) and he's also trying to get Krit here.
We just need other things to do than the club.
They say that we're going to be another Atlanta and I pray to baby Jesus it doesn't go that far. -

I never thought I 'd see the day when Atlanta was looked at in a negative light. what happened to Atlanta? who ruined it? I haven't been there since 2002 and right now I'm not so sure I want to go back. -
PG County is one of the richest African American-majority counties in the United States.

They’ve been saying the last sentence about Nashville for years, but as a frequent visitor of the city, I’m with you. I hope it doesn’t go that far.
Last time I was in Nashville was for a Krit concert. Ended up spending a week out there, and the city is definitely a party city. Had so much fun out there. Stayed near where Vanderbilt is. That area was boomin. -

The ? /AIDS
The traffic
The strip club culture
The trannys
The only thing about Atlanta that I respect is the black owned businesses.
Nashville is slowly getting there.
But, the ? did it. -
Biloxi, Miss.
Someone mentioned seafood; man the seafood is great! Can’t go home without getting me either a shrimp or catfish po boy. It’s a cool city for water activities as well. The fishing is good. My boys and I usually take a few kayaks and row under neath the bridge to fish, or we’ll hop on the boat to go fish at one of the islands.
If you’re into gambling, there’s quite a few casinos. One of my best friends played black jack with Michael Jordan. That ? goes through some cash and he said he’s ruthless on the tables; constantly telling people to hurry up and if you ain’t got no cash get the hell on. The casino buffets are good as well.
As for partying; you’ve got the casinos that have the clubs in them. There’s quite a few daiquiri spots; they just opened up a Fat Tuesday. The hard rock hotel is usually boomin. Bar scenes cool in nearby Ocean Springs. Usually get ? as a fool then hit the juke joint that stay open till 4am. You also got New Orleans an hour and some change away. It’s also an artsy city, so there’s many museums. -

Oh yeah.
Vandy is cool. I like going to the rec center that's over there.
The kids at Meharry are having a Halloween party. I'm thinking about going but idk if I should be around all those drugs. -

Hey man yall gon stop speaking down on the island of ATL.
The ATL is a international city now. So they have legit international city problems.
But the amount of hustle out here is damn near mind numbing. If you dont have a side hustle going on MFER actually look at you funny like, "WTF are you doing with your life."
Most people here are hustling trying to be a star and the movie industry here is not helping. ATL is not Hollywood south. It is co-op by Hollywood. Let those subsidies drop and they will be back in Cali fast as ? .
But it is something happening every weekend or weekday. Job market is stupid good. You really dont have to leave the island of ATL for ? .
Or and why do I call it the island of ATL. Cause when you leave this place. You fall right back to the reality in the south. The ATL has a gravitational pull on everything in within a 200 mile radius of this city. Dont ? else happen in the other smaller cities before it has happened here first.pretty much the same thing here ^^
Yo my mom is finally leaving there to move here. It is bitter sweet but that is the last person in my immediate family that stayed there. I have real reason to return, outside of nostalgia trips. -
@caddo man you right about everyone here having a second hustle. Had to pick me up one on the side, and started doing uber lol. It’s also not hard to find a job here at all. I got laid off and was back working rather quickly. That’s the main reason i left Mississippi. Jobs are scarce down there, unless you willing to drive to the NO or Mobile, AL and even in those small cities, the job market pales in comparison to here
That island ? is spot on. I lived in Dalton GA for a little while. Talk about country and backwoods. I’d take that 80 mike drive to ATL every weekend. Finally had to make that move to the city, because that was draining my pockets. -

NYC
Even though it's technically overcrowded it still seems like a small world. You can bump into anyone at anytime. It's not impossible to maneuver around it without beaucop cash. Everyone can easily find something to do regardless of budget. Also it's not as easy to get lost in as outsiders will tell ya.
I think black and brown communities like the one I live in need more members who are looking to enterprise beyond liquor stores, shoe storesb bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants, lounges and barbershops when it comes to business.
It would help a lot of these communities out a lot and not allow these outsiders to come in and put up ? like copy and shipping centers and other specialty businesses (ie: bike shops) that eventually blow up for em.
Diversity counts. Its wack to always walk up a block with like 3 or 4 competing barbershops next to each other. -
