Finally listened to the last song, bury me in gold. That might be my favorite. What he was speaking at the end was real...too real. He’s stayed true to himself and his beliefs, despite being in the industry all these years.
Can’t say much about this album that hasn’t already been said. There’s no songs I skip as every song jam. Was damn near perfect in executing the oft tried Rapper vs self concept, and this album is relatable as hell. Krit might be the best rapper/producer in the game. This album will be in rotation a good while for me.
9/10 -
That's when I knew I was hit...might have to cop this online...i prefer the physical copies..but I need this ?
-
KRIT said they would be in best buy's, but we have none in my town so I ordered off Amazon
-
The ? up thing is if KRIT uses 1999 you know it's gonna be idiots saying he copied Drake's "Practice" song SMMFH.
Been thinking this same ? . lol smh. -
Get up 2 get down tho.... Maaaaaaaane!!!

KRIT utilises various styles and flows and touches on multiple subject matters exemplifying his range and growth as an artist. There are tracks that could be radio singles such as Subenstein, 1999 (very reminiscent of Return of 4eva's Get Right), Keep The Devil Off, Justin Scott, The Light, Aux Cord etc. Big KRIT really took a moment to analyse and present the best body of work I'd say since Return of 4eva which is not to say previous albums weren't good because they're amazing by far. There aren't many gripes with this album, the album was definitely made with the intention of repackaging himself to past and newer audiences and he nails it with his delivery. Easily one of the best new releases this year next to Joey Badass, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Drake, Raekwon, Wu-Tang and others. KRIT produced the vast majority of the album and shows he's just as incredible as a lyricist as he is a producer sheesh.
I would rate this album a solid 9/10 as it is in my view KRIT'S best work on a long time easily surpassing Cadillactica. Criticisms I can think of are he doesn't really give us anything "new" in terms of sound but it's such a minor criticism because someone else may hear something totally different lyrically or sonically and have a different opinion. At the same time tho what else is there for KRIT to speak on that everyone else isn't already talking about ? LOLOL. This album brought him back to his essence - to the beginning.
9/10
Great review Sion....I agree 1999 is a hit or at least sounds like one. I like that it’s a play on Back Dat Azz up. If this one doesn’t blow up I’m not sure Krit will ever have a mainstream hit.
I’m stuck on Get Away at the moment.
Rolled out in the truck with this ? bumping, been on repeat. Rapping this ? at the red light to an Old White couple man been the highlight of my day so far. -

I just ordered off amazon. In the meantime my nephew came thru n played the joint on his apple music while we played 2k...
Off first listen..def heard a few tracks I won't mess with, however for a double album it has ALOT of good songs. That "Georgia Fornia" song is absolutely beautiful. Confetti does sound better with the rest of the album. This ? is fyaahh. Gotta listen to it a few more times, but I like this joint off first rip. "Get away" that joint too. Too many to list. Krit really outdid himself with this one. Def better than Cadillactica.
Sorry to burst the "krit needs a radio hit" bubble. I didn't really hear a smash "hit" record on here, and that's fine by me. -
If you’re a fan of 90’s bone thugs layup should be right up your alley mayne!
-
If you can listen to Subenstein (My Sub IV) and sit still you ain't got no soul in your body.
-
"...yall shoulda listened to Andre..."
-
Yall know how hard it is to pull off a double album?? Smh Krit did his thing....
@Stew I need your full thoughts bro... -

I understand all that but I really ain't feeling the hook. That's my only gripe with the whole album
1st half
But that 2nd half
-
LOL yea Subenstein for me really begins at the 2min mark
-
Oh, I got to do this cause homies from the home state, and homie just dropped a classic. We on the board ? !
Mississippi biiiiiiitttttch!!

After a second listen I'll give it a 7.5. Without the filler, it would be a 9, but there are definitely some songs that I could have done without. That's not to say there are any wack songs, but sometimes less is more. I still like Cadillactica better. To me it had more bangers, but there is a lot of depth to this album and I respect that even if I don't like all the songs on the album.
-
this album might be a classic. its probly the best double disc since wu tang forever. and krits best project since krit wuz here.

Like someone said 1999 can definitely be a radio single. Everything on this go, wasn't feeling the chorus on Mixed Messages tho.
Weekend Interlude, damn that's how a ? felt in my mid/late 20's about clubs.
4/5
I respect ur opinion bro, but Mixed messages been on repeat for me since Friday, & The hook is one of main reasons why. I felt that ? in my soul bruh. -
