After you carve it you rinse it off
Then soak it in a tub of water with a little bleach
For like 1-2 min
Let it air dry -
Invest in that scooper kit ...They work
Roast the seeds too
Rinse the seeds off
Soak them over night in a bowl filled with water enough to cover the seeds plus about an inch. And quarter to half s cup of salt
Drain them the next day and toast them in your oven on about 400 for 15-20 min. You can sprinkle a little salt in them before you put them in the oven. I like them toasted ice and brown.
I use kosher salt instead of table salt -
