He smoked ? and the quality of his music is 100x better than the ? these lil dudes producing.
If he can smoke ? and produce the quality he did, what’s these guys excuses? -
He's been acknowledged thoThese all Lil Wayne's sons.Busta Carmichael wrote: »Busta Carmichael wrote: »
He's young and the new wave "dumbhop" is where it's at nowadays.
Me and him are prolly very close in age. This has nothing to do with being young. He's ? .
The problem is that there are a lot of talented young rappers out here but the media wanna push these dudes.
? got a permanent tattoo of anne frank on his face.....
Dude is going to be an old man one day collecting royalties as Xan Frank with a damn rusty face.
This is all Wayne's fault

But yours truly truly thoBusta Carmichael wrote: »From an early 90's perspective @HafBayked i gotta say u wrong. Most of my peers would agree.
We didnt grow up listening to rappers doing pills and snorting either.
Our rappers smoked weed and thats about it.
Even when weezy dropped "I feel like dying"everybody was like wtf is this junkie talking about.
This addict music started sometime in 2012 I think. That's the 00's kids.
This is about 85% future fault and 15% weezy

Lmao you only attributed 15% to weezy? Cmon fam you better than this -
i thought 15% was kinda low too lol

I provided examples

But to be fair, future promoted pills and lean more than wayne.
Future is kind of a product of lil wayne... But so is a lot of rappers who don't rap about drugs.
Future took the drug culture to a whole new level.
Maybe weezy is at 30% then.

I'd say 50% given how there are threads on here all the time yapping about how Wayne influenced x artist therefore he's the GOAT -
Also Weezy kinda changed the way rap fans think. Cah he was so popular there were (are) a lotta people sayin' he's dope when he wasn't. I think that opened the door for wack ? to be not only accepted, but also for their wackness to be defended.

He had bars tho. And this is coming from someone who legit hated weezy up until 07.
I didn't get the hype and honestly pre-gillie he was trash.
We can say weezy and papoose had the same punchlines but Wayne delivery was better -
On the whole all of this was a gradual process.
Drugs always been in the street and hard drug use was usually prevalent in smaller circles within circles in the hood. Nobody talked openly about the ? though and if you weren’t in those circles or related to ppl in those circles you wouldn’t know.....typically, where I was.
Musically rappers always rapped about weed.....but in the 90s you’d hear a bar here and there about doing coke (Dayton Family, 3-6 and their whole crew, 8 Ball & MJG, the Luniz)...
....Then early 2000s Cash Money (BG) and some of No Limit (eg Prime Suspects, others) was dropping bars about consuming every drug under the sun. At the same time ppl on the west and east began to make whole songs about doing X...(Ja Rule, Turf Talk, etc).....if I recall correctly even Beanie Siegel was talking bout doin “bars”.
Then by the mid 2000s the whole X and pill movement was went nuts in the Bay with Thizz and Mac Dre. That was around the same time Wayne’s popularity went through the roof...and his double cup. The topic of “Robo” out west and “Lean” dominated....as well as ? out here (Bay) rappin bout “Go Music” and Molly. All this basically stayed the same until about 2010.
Wayne went out there with that rockstar skateboard guitar hero weirdo ? . ODing all over the place. Now Gucci Mane gets popular and he’s all out there with it..getting face tats and what not. Flacka and Gucci all out there with skinny fat Lean bellies talking bout they’re “baller bellies” justifying that ? . At the same time many young ? in a lot of places looked at Gucci like a ? .
...now all in the background YouTube and soundcloud blowing the ? up and everybody now has access to put themselves out there as a rapper (image) and all the young dudes trying to 1 up each other. So here we are.

These new ? took all the bad things about Wayne
Wayne was a student of rap.
Had dedication
Studied the history
Has classic
These new dudes are about all the shock and not the writing

Future is a product of the Dungeon Family
Atlanta ? ain’t gon like this.
But most of these dudes is a product of future and Gucci and not Wayne -
