Son prob would've done Bleek numbers or less
He didn't even blow on his own deal
I still got a lot of respect for Jaz O

I think Jaz would of done well on Rocafella and hip hop heads would of prolly checked for him (especially as the mixtape were popping back then) even if he didnt commercially pop... I think he kinda slowed down his style and evolved well as the song at the top was butter smooth, not like the double time rap he was on back in the day...
Jaz clearly has ear for talent so he may of been a good A&R...
Also Bleek's M.A.D.E album is an underrated classic imo... -

cool lil beat .... -
Jaz's problem was that he released two albums in the late 80s and neither one of them was hot. By the time Jay Z started poppin in the mid 90s, Jaz was like one of those novelty rappers from 5 years ago.
Jaz-O can rhyme, but he missed his opportunity.
I heard Jay Z offered him a deal circa 1999 and he didn't take it.
It was a garbage deal. You don't do your hero like that. If anything he should be gave him a behind the music gig. -

I think Jaz's problem is that he was too smart for his own good. Having been in the industry for 10 years he knew what to ask for in a contract. Cats like Bleek, Freeway and Sigel probably didn't know what to ask for and got ? deals.
The industry is swift and changeable just because you had a buzz 10 years ago doesn't mean anything right now. -
Thought this was already known...
Jaz should've taken that deal and used it as a stepping stone...The Roc was just getting started, this was prior to the DefJam deal, so they couldnt have made a lucrative offer.....As we can see he didnt have many options pertaining to getting signed, so he should've went with that.......I think if he'd dropped sometime in 99 and another around 01 he wouldve had some success... -
NAH NEVER HEARD THEM. -

HE WOULD'VE MADE A DOPE IN-HOUSE PRODUCER FOR THE ROC...
HE ALREADY DID DOPE TRACKS FOR RAS KASS (RASSASSINATION) & M.O.P. (FIRING SQUAD)
AT WORST...
I THINK HE WOULD'VE DONE SOME DOPE COLLABS/FEATURES W/ HOV...
MAYBE A DOPE ALBUM THAT FLEW UNDER THE RADAR... -
Nah he don't need to be with that label ......

Jaz and Dame didn't quite see eye to eye and Jaz ain't some cat you can just bark orders at so that's probably why that didn't happen either ....... -
folk always say what so and so shoulda took. maybe pride and his own sense of what he was worth allowed him to turn it down.. just saying

it's amazing how much j-z sound like em but
Jaz-o sound more authentic cuz that was the style that came naturally -
he also felt he should have got a partner cut. that it should have been, him jay, dame and biggs. and when he was only offered to be an artist he was offended. it was principle. however no one else was checking for him, so he should have jumped on it and then spun off and created his own thing

Can you think of a rapper that has two albums with no buzz that you'd sign to your label? -
Okay so, go ahead, birth another HOV

Hip Hop needs Jaz-o not everyone is all about numbers
it's about the art -
Yep that’s Kane’s flow spit a lil quicker! -
To be honest, I never liked speed rap. I remember when Kane and Jaz O and Jay Z used to rap really fast and it seemed pointless to me. I still think its pointless.
Whats the point of rapping as fast as you can?
