They aren't voting against their own sefl-interest. They're interest is preserving white supremacy. They know keeping the white man in power gives them all the leverage they need.
But it was 2 White Men in the running.
All they had to do was pick the one who wouldn't try to ? them or their Children.
63% of white women believed the allegations to be true still voted for Moore
But I guess Jones is known for Prosecuting the white terrorist church bombers.

How can we have such clueless individuals in positions of power? -
Dude I live in Mississippi
If Cochran can retire (? him for taking money from telecommunications to oppose net neutrality) and we can vote Wicker out (who owes his political career to people who've paid for him) that'd be great. I'm hyped for 2018, hope we can do something similar to what Alabama did. House elections will be important too, as we have two seats up. -

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/moore-refuses-concede-senate-race-doug-jones-voter-fraudMoore Doubles Down On Refusal To Concede Race, Suggests Voter Fraud
GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore still has no intention of conceding the race to Democrat Doug Jones after Tuesday’s election.
The Associated Press reports that Moore sent out an email on Friday to his supporters telling them that “this battle is NOT OVER!” and asked them for contributions to his “election integrity fund.” The former judge said his campaign is planning to send “numerous reported cases of voter fraud” to Alabama’s secretary of state, John Merrill.
However, Merrill has already expressed skepticism about Moore’s chances of a surprise victory.
“I know a lot of people would say it’s never over until it’s over, but the margin of victory for Doug Jones at this time looks like a difficult amount of votes to overcome as the remaining votes out that are there to be counted next week begin to be considered at the local level,” the state secretary told CNN on Wednesday.
Moore released a video the day after the election declaring that he wasn’t giving up, arguing that yet-uncounted provisional and military ballots could swing the race in his favor.
Several other Republican leaders have called for Moore to give it up, including President Donald Trump.
Trump, who heartily endorsed Moore during the race, said Friday that the former judge should “certainly” concede to Jones. Sen. John Thune (R-SD) said during a Fox interview that it was time to accept that Moore had lost.
Senator-elect Doug Jones said he understands “the frustration a little bit,” but “look, it’s time to move on.” -

Newly elected Democrat doesn't think Trump should resign over sexual harassment accusations

Sen.-elect Doug Jones (D-Ala.) on Sunday said he does not believe President Trump should resign from office “at this point” over sexual misconduct accusations.
“I don’t think that the president ought to resign at this point,” Jones told CNN’s “State of the Union.” We’ll see how things go. But certainly those allegations are not new and he was elected with those allegations at front center.”
Jones noted that the sexual misconduct accusations made against the president came to light prior to his election victory last year.
“You know, Jake where I am on that right now is that those allegations were made before the election. And so people had an opportunity to judge before that election. I think we need to move on and not get distracted by those issues. Let’s get on with the real issues that are facing the people of this country right now.”
The senator-elect’s response comes after multiple Democratic senators have said Trump should resign due to the prior sexual misconduct allegations. Lawmakers in both parties have resigned in recent weeks over alleged inappropriate behavior.
Jones said last week that he received a “gracious” phone call from Trump, who invited him to visit the White House and congratulated him on his victory in the Alabama special election.
During an interview with “Fox News Sunday,” Jones described the call as “personal” and said it did not contain any “substance.”
“His call to me was very gracious, it truly was. We had a very good talk, no substance, but just kind of a personal call,” Jones said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting him. I’m looking forward to getting up there and trying to find those issues that we can work together on for both the country and the state of Alabama," he added.
