Yeah but U-? has 5 albums and to my knowledge none of them have a hit single.

Hey, a lot of people sell records without radio play or a hit single -
So if you were U-? 's A&R and you could get Method Man to appear on a track, would it be an underground album cut, or would you try to make a hit single by sampling a well known 80s/90s track that people would immediately recognize?
