The other interesting thing is how are you going to boldly speak out about an issue then delete that statement right after. Not to mention this is the same female rapper that has whitened her face on album covers and models herself after a white doll.
She deleted the post? You're right, there is nothing really memorable about any of the major white rappers out right here. Even Eminem. Has there ever been a point when this was different?
I'm wondering if any old heads in here remember Jon B and when he came out, was he seen at the same level as white rappers?Whites are the consumer so all the white rapper has to do is copy the sound. White rapper never create a wave and they don't control the culture.
I agree with you that this is primarily true but what about semi-underground rappers like bones & suicide boys?
Even if you don't like their music, who would you say their sound is copying?
It does seem as if most white rappers lack the soul of their local culture though - like if you hear someone rapping from L.A. or NY, it's obvious. But this doesn't necessarily apply to white artists. Damn maybe the only arguable way that was made was when Cage made the slim shady persona and eminem stole it.

I just said this about 2 weeks ago and made a thread about these vultures, Ebro said it best this music is the most popular most stream etc these devils don’t wanna see and hear us everywhere so they trying to change the complexion of the artist on us, stay woke.

Agree 100%.
If there are no black artists for whites to copy off or for the genuine ones to be inspired by, there is no rap, period. Itll just eventually turn into some other off brand ? .
But if ur a genuine white rapper with skill and respect for the art u generally get respect back. -

The bigger evil are not white artists like Macklemore or Post or G Easy. The bigger evil are ? dancing on tables at epic records. This ? been going on for years. Vanilla Ice was popping and then you had the white pop boy bands that had the hip hop flair biting from urban black culture. You have had the frat rap guys 10 years ago who are all missing (asher roth, mac miller, sammy adams. Now white rappers who are really just spitting on the mic with slightly more charisma and flair that are becoming hot 100 famous but don't have tours or albums that are selling that well. -
White Iverson >> any nicki song
That said that the only Post song i ever heard. And when i heard it i thought it was a black artist singing about wearing white Iversons -
Here’s the problem. Black artists and execs became too inclusive and now they don’t even own their own music, lmao. So much for holding hands and unity. Business first. Oh, and Nicki’s a joke.

Maybe white people dont know about rap godfathers

Do you mean semi silent founding investors or something different? -

Lol this has been ? problem since day one...the oh no he s cool syndrome -
Huh?
Im sayin white people buy music. And white people support white rappers.
Maybe the numbers would look different if rap fans stopped stealing all their music.
But we all know rap fans are the worst -
Yall hate on white rappers but, buy and support albums from rappers like Future and Migos? Yeah that makes sense.
-
Why is she calling out white rappers like it's their fault they're doing well or whatever? She does know the biggest consumers of music are white ppl doesn't she?
Proof that u can be rich and not very bright.. -
I was saying what do you mean by Rap Godfather, and I'm referencing people like Michael Knight & Kareem Biggs.
I misunderstood you though.
White people support what's trendy. For along time white people did not support white rappers, and a large percentage still don't. For a lot of white people it's just a tool to party with no substance to it and an excuse to act ignorant. -

Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed like she was congratulating white rappers not calling it out....cuz if that was the case then ? her cuz she wasn't making a point at all.

Isn't it funny how Nicki Minaj only seems to care about racism and sexism when it affects her?
