Is "Thick" Women Getting Played-Out In The Black Community?

I'm not asking about whether or not anyone would still smash a thick women because everyone will.
However,
What I'm asking about is, are people still wifing "thick" women. I know for a fact, just two-three years ago, ? was praising, worshipping and wifing thick women. Now, in late 2010, it seems like black men are looking to settle down with a slimer female. All you hear dudes say these days "is you better not wife no thick chick," for the obvious reason of the female picking up marriage weight (baby phat, pounds added after marriage) she really couldn't afford to gain in the first place. I can't even front, I've even gone away from loving the classic, thick-ass Atlien women and now I got a chick about 5'8 135-140lbs.
So fellas, have you went away from the whole "thick" women fad? Is it something that died with mainstream hip-hop?
Thick women of the IC, how do yall feel about these developments?
Or is this just another example of blackmen adopting European culture (skinny jeans)?
