the need to change these conference names...nothing about texas screams big east
-
The dumbest ? I have ever seen a school do. That is almost as bad when LA Tech joined the WAC and when Depaul joined the Big East.
The cost of sending them to games will be crazy. And I see the Big East losing thier BCS rights in a couple of years because Pitt will never out recruit Penn State. West Virginia will never get back to what they were. All the Florida schools will still be second fiddle to Florida, Florida State and Miami. Cincinatti was a one and done football power. Their only hope is Louisville.
The rest of those school need no mention. -

trillness..but this is a good move for the confrence as a whole in football..
i still think the big 12 should have added them and houston -
boise state getting screwed left and right...they announce they joining the mwc...then utah, byu, and tcu leave the mwc...now boise state is basically going to be playing in another weak ass conference for football

Boise should have learned when Miami and VA Tech left the Big East years ago. Now the Mountian West will look like the WAC.
Hold up the real crazy part is the WAC and Mountian West was one conference years ago. now they may have to join together again to survive. -

they weren't offered a spot because their academics is not up to par...boise was practically a community college years ago and they are only competitive in football -

Correction TCU should learn! -
lol boise st lost

i know this is about football but I'm not trying to see Georgetown playing TCU in basketball. It's already bad enough they have to play 200 conference games as is.

Damn shame TCU running to a conference that outside of basketball gets barely any respect anymore!
Georgetown and Villanova football teams are DIV II!
The WAC and the MWC need to combine again before both of them become the MAC or Conference USA! -
Dallas in the NFC East
o well............ -

these smaller teams/ conferences don't realize that the bigger ones (Big 10, SEC, PAC12) don't give a ? about them.
It's like when rich white people use poor white people against minorities. Those poor whites are too dumb to realize that the system ain't designed to help them either. -

Which is why its a genius move by TCU. They're basically guaranteed a BCS bowl bid. Plus the fact they'll have the label of a "Big 6" label they'll continue to dominate due to good recruiting. Plus with a legit football team in the conference, its a win-win for both the Big East and TCU. It only makes sense geographically to join the Big XII. Lets be real: Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and OKST have recruiting on lock there. TCU couldn't make a splash in that pool. -
That's a good look for TCU now.
We can see TCU vs. West Virginia, TCU vs. Rutgers, TCU vs. Pittsburgh, TCU vs. Cincinnati, TCU vs. Louisville and TCU v. Connecticut.
BYU and Utah are suppose to be leaving Mountain West and Boise State is suppose to go to Mountain West.
TCU, Utah and BYU are improving by going to a conference that can help them get more of a chance to get to big bowl games or The BCS title game.
Boise State is not helping themselves by going to The Mountain West after The three biggest teams are leaving.
It's gonna be The WAC Conference all over again for them and they will never get any respect for playing cupcake teams.
Boise needs to go to a good conference like The Big 12, playing against Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas and Texas Tech.
