(AllHipHop News) Actress/abuse victim Ashley Judd had harsh words for Hip-Hop music and its "? culture" that has been created by lyrics that demean and degrade women.
RadarOnline.com posted snippets of Ashley Judd's upcoming memoir All That Is Bitter and Sweet.
Ashley Judd name checked Snoop Dogg and P. Diddy in the memoir for helping fuel the misogyny in Hip-Hop music, before she trashed most of the entire genre of the music. *
"As far as I'm concerned, most rap and hip-hop music -- with it's ? culture and insanely abusive lyrics and depictions of girls and women as '? 's' -- is the contemporary soundtrack of misogyny."
Ashley Judd revealed in her new book that she was sexually abused as a child.
And days after Ashley's stunning revelation, her mother, country legend Naomi Judd, revealed she was also an abuse victim.
In her memoir, Ashley Judd also has harsh words for her mother and her own sister, Wynonna Judd.
"She and my sister [Wynonna] have been quoted as saying that our family put the 'fun' in dysfunction. I wondered: 'Who, exactly, was having all the fun? What was I missing?'"

? Ashley Judd and her typical ignorant comments about Hip Hop. Whenever people line up to dash out criticism they always have to start with what the "Young Black Male" is doing wrong. Just like ya boy Chris Rock says, " If Its White, Its All Right" Hip Hop or rap is a art form just like, movies, dancing, and clothing. Street rap or Gangsta Rap is just one Flavor of rap. Does this idiot know anything about Lupe, B.O.B, OutKast, Slum Village, De LaSoul, or any other group that doesn't have that street edge? No this idiot focuses on what? The negative or what she perceives to be negative. White Rock and Roll bands don't degrade women in their songz, or talk about drugs and criminal activity? Its ? . What about all the Porn movies these white boyz make? Some of the sickest ? the mind can come up with? Are they the problem? Nooooo, its always what the " Young Black Male" is doing and Hip Hop...Biotch Get Real and don't talk about what you don't know about. Probably don't have one Rap cd in her car.. Clown

I'm not mad at Ashley Judd. She's like a lot of older suburban white people...and older black people for that matter. She just misinformed. Like Jay said, 'You can you fairly ? something from the outside looking in? The majority of them time you're gonna be wrong'.
? bless her. -
Did their abusers listen to rap? :0
What is a ? culture?
Also, I rarely hear any hip-hop music that outright promotes rapes.
lol @ supporting ? if you're a hip-hop fan.
Edit2: Well I guess Pac did say "mom told me to never stop until I bust a nut." or something like that. -
She sexy as hell though, atleast she was.

She about 10-15 years late.....

If you know anything about the Judd family
You know that dysfunction is considered normal for them
Being insightful and/or reasonable isn't exactly easy
For any of them
However they do how to stay relevant when their careers are in the ? -
Only ? music I know about is coming from them white boys in the game *walks out of thread*

I think thats the only reason she said this, because she has a book coming out.
Too easy to single out hip hop..... -

White women necks scare me real talk

man when i had a daughter ? changed for me some what. ? is really depressing that you have to shield the kid away from something that we grew up on. Put there isn't a positive message for females anywhere at all in this genre. ? don't even have to be positive for real but the fact is it's negative 99% of the time is a shame. And we have to look at ourselves for that. Half these ? were raised by women only, and never learned from a man how to respect and treat a women. Instead what we saw was leve out on her ass and go do your thing. Now that image just keeps being perpetuated since the industry is a multi billion dollar industry.

turn on the radio and listen to it for 1 hour. you can form the same opinion as her....easily.
and i would be wrong too...how bout the ppl who have listened to hip hop all their life come out and criticize it...i feel the same way abt oprah saying this ? ...they are in no position to critic the genre coz obviously they dont know enough abt it -
many are mad at her statement but shes only telling the truth
