i dont think his run lasted very long tho ... not sure how long the real ace was at it but it couldnt have been more then 3 years ......... right???[/

I don't think it was that long. This why I've said the best show BET ever had, was American Gansters. Ish is interesting. You can't say ? wasn't gettin paid. Nowadays, I doubt you'll find somebody like them old time gangsters.

true... but once Ace was making the real money he shouldve went legit... go the Vito/Michael Corolene route... he was already respected in Harlem by killers and hustlers, so he didnt need to be in the life anymore... thats the difference with some white people and some black people... as soon as the Roosevelts and the Kennedys was done with their hustlin they went legit and was trying to run the country...

Jay- Z and hustlers in the 90s got it right though... so ? 80s are the people to thank i guess...

Remember.. The loudest one's in the room are always the weakest ones. The ones going around bragging, "I got this" "I got that" are always the weakest. Letting everybody now what you have and what you got, will cause to much attention, blackmailing and/or end up dead.

Alpo ended up making way more money than AZ, AZ got out of the game about 2 years earlier than ALPO went to the jail.

Po was a snitch, but only in the face of the death penalty or a life sentence. That's bad, but so is killing somebody because you didn't like his haircut. Nothing honorable about killing for money, Wayne Perry had so much honor he even killed a girlfriend of his...

AZ was 23 when he got shot, he was about 18 when he became a wholesaler. He was in the game heavy for about 5 years.

Rich porter got killed 2 years later, and Alpo went to jail a year after that.

He did, but Alpo was much more aggressive. He took bigger risks, operated in two cities, was far more ruthless, and eventually made bigger connections. Plus he was in 2-3 years longer.

Alpo started out as a bit of muscle for AZ, then was quickly given his own spot to run and collect points on. After a short while, AZ let Alpo buy the spot from him, and thus Alpo's own organization was created.

he was born in 64 and the robbery took place in 87 (according to wiki ... edit: azie confirms it in the video)

so yeah ... that woulda made him 23 ... so about 4 years roughly was his run ... cause he wasnt hustling ...at least not big time since 1980 ... i think the video says he met "lou - lou" in 1983 ... so yeah that would be 4 1/2 years.

dude shoulda had 5 mil by then and been living in the caribbean LOL ... so yeah .. ocelot was right .... there's no excuse for the last two years. but then again he is said to have taken care of everyone

No matter what you do different,it will still end badly. The drug game is not meant to last and someone will eventually take your spot. It's the fast life for a reason. You earn it fast and you burn it fast. Most don't have anything to show for their hustling days when they are over, that's if they are still alive.

What did they gain out of it that had any worth? Money, clothes and jewelry don't last and the hoes will move on once your time is up.Unless you made it to Kingpin status and in your 50s with big cake, then I don't see how it was worth it.

I definitly agree wit everything you're saying, but as far as those dudes ? are still interested and fascinated wit the lives of 3 dudes from the 80's.

When they were running around i bet they would never have imagined that they would go down as Hood Legends.

Like i said you're post was 100% right but when you look at how their legacy turned out whether it be good or bad do ? think for them it was worth it?

Dogg first off I woulda hired squads of ? to take over at least 15 city bloccs, and positioned myself in the dead center of it in a fortress guarded by ex-military Special Forces mercenaries for hire.

That's all the game imma drop for you peons though.

was it worth it from a livelihood perspective hell nah ....

but from a strictly hustle/street perspective rich porter is who some of the richest black males in mainstream seem to be inspired by .... from jay-z saying he was the twin brother of rich porter to puff daddy paying homage to the ? and saying he is who he looked up to .... the legacy of rich porter from a gutter/street/hustle standpoint is cemented .....
