Jigger w/ the Euro-white-Jesus piece
These two artist will forever be linked at the hip due to their highly publicized beef and their high regard within the culture...but I noticed an odd little anomaly about them:

The closer JayZ gets to Europe the closer Nas gets to Africa!!

nas.jpg

Nassir rocking the mask of Afrikan Pharaoh Tutankhamun

I was reading the JayZ track-listing for "Watch the Throne'" and I saw song titles like "Living so Italian and "? in Paris".

I was looking at Nas track-listing for Distant relatives and I saw song titles like "Afrika must wake up" and "Ancient people".

Jay-Z has been recording 'Watch the Throne" in London, Paris and the Bath in UK.
Nas just teamed with UNICEF to raise money for the Children in the Horn of Afrika.

JayZ is going to give you that English flavor with Mr. Hudson on his last album
Nas is going to give you that Somalian flavor with K'naan on his last album.

JayZ new BFF seems to be the Englishman Chris Martin
Nas new BFF seems to be the Jamaican Damian "Jr Gong" Marley

Attachment not found.

"Pharaoh garment's Prada, Egyptian camel-back-riders. Pyramid architects"

"I make ? murals, then escape the bureau's
Investigation, out in Europe on vacation"

JayZ "Pressure"

"The black oasis, Ancient Africa the sacred
The sleeping giant, science, art is your creation
"

Nas "Afrika must wake up"

"The album width to keep the registers ringin
In real life, I'm much more distinguished
I'm like a bloke from London, England
"

JayZ "The Bounce"

"They heard about the gold, the teachings, and everything sacred
Africa was almost robbed naked Slavery was money,
so they began making slave ships"

Nas "I can"

"Fresh from London... Paris, Germany...
It's Euro-Jay... International Hov...
Bon Shoir, muhfuckas!... We back..."

JayZ "You dont Know"

Planets in orbit, line em up with the stars
tarot cards, you can see the Pharaoh Nas
"Nas is like.." Iron Mike, messiah type
before the Christ, after the death"

Nas "Nas is Like"

Jay-Z-hugs-Chris-Martin.jpg

"H.O.V.A. I got my Mojo back baby Oh behave"

Just a small observation

Here are the Top 5 Europeon samples on Watch the Throne.

1.) "No Church in the Wild" contains samples from "K Scope" as performed by
Phil Manzanera,

2.) "No Church in the Wild" contains a sample from "Sunshine Help Me" as performed by Spooky Tooth.

[/CENTER]
3.) "Who Gon Stop Me" contains samples from "I Can't Stop" as performed by
Flux Pavilion.
4.) "Murder to Excellence" contains samples from "La La La" as performed by
Indiggo

5.) "Why I Love You" contains samples from "I Love You So" as performed by
Cassius.

Great thread. Also, since Beyonce been with jigga, she's also skewing Euro.
I hope they get what they looking for, but, MJ did the same thing.

as much as i love nas music and would like to buy into his pro africa ? , truth is ? like him and the father of his new companion, Bob Marley, are only pro-black when it comes to talkin.

while jay-z is a married man that broke the cycle of the dysfunctional black family and is barely known for takin drugs or other ignorant ? at least during the last decade, nas is the personified ignorance. ? appears on the high times promotin drug use and has 2 kids with known ? that will grow up in a house without their daddy.

if black people had more jay-zs and less nasirs we as whole would be much better off.

How we would be better off, Nas fam ain't dysfunctional, he has two children who he takes care off and who lives with him. Jay is a bootlicking Uncle Tom, who has sold out many of his peoples to make it to the top, he has admirable qualities as well but his pandering to the white man overrules them.

I would rather Nas promote consuming weed than Jay-Z promote selling ? .

The Africa talk is cool but what is he doing for his own community? My aunt stayed on Vernon for years. I constantly hear how Ron Artest comes back and gives more than any of the rappers. I'm sure his schedule is more chaotic than these rappers.

    Are you mixed??

There is no Pro-Africa there is only cultural awareness of your heritage and the pride that comes with knowing who you are and from where you came from.

There is no Pro-Black there is only group-consciousness for the overall advancement for the group that you belong to.

Im sure "American Gangster" wasn't ignorant in your opinion and that it incorporated all the wholesome family values that a rapper should personify.
